Philosophy
Our philosophy is built on the idea of “Three-Way Happiness” — a balance between the well-being of the capybaras, the guests, and the staff. We believe that when all three are cared for with sincerity, true happiness naturally follows.
1. For the Capybaras
We are deeply committed to providing our capybaras with a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment. This includes proper facilities, climate control, and thoughtful enclosure design. Each capybara receives balanced nutrition, regular medical checkups, gentle daily care, and behavioral training to ensure their well-being and happiness.
2. For Our Guests
We want every visitor to leave Cappiness with an unforgettable memory — a peaceful, joyful experience that becomes one of the highlights of their trip to Japan. Every day, we challenge ourselves to find new ways to improve guest satisfaction and create moments that truly touch the heart.
3. For Our Staff
We believe that the happiness of our staff is the foundation of everything we do. At Cappiness, we provide continuous training and support in hospitality, English communication, animal care, and safety management — empowering each team member to grow with confidence and pride.
By fostering a culture of teamwork, learning, and mutual respect, we create an atmosphere of warmth that our guests can truly feel.
Founder’s Message
During my visits to many animal cafés, I often felt a deep sense of sadness and frustration. I saw animals kept in poor environments, without proper care or enrichment. I saw guests treated as numbers rather than people, and staff working hard without fair pay or respect.
In those moments, one thought became clear to me:
“If no one is doing it right, then I must.”
That conviction became the beginning of Cappiness. A place built on honesty — where animals are treated with care, where guests feel genuinely welcomed, and where staff can take pride in what they do.
Cappiness exists to redefine what an animal café can be. Here, animals are not tools for entertainment, but partners in creating joy. Guests are not customers, but part of our shared story. And every member of our team is valued and respected.
This is what “Three-Way Happiness” truly means to us — and it is the vision we will continue to share with the world.
