Located in Takadanobaba, just a short ride from Shinjuku, our first café offers a cozy, home-like space where you can relax and take your time with the capybaras.

Good to Know
- Reservations required — online booking only, no walk-ins
- 40-minute session, 4,000 yen per person (tax included, same fee for all ages)
- Capybara snacks included — no additional charges
- Sessions are conducted in English
- Drinks are simple self-service — our focus is the capybaras, not the cafe menu
- Guests 5 and older; children aged 5 to 12 must be accompanied by a guardian (accompanying guests also pay the fee)

If you are coming by train, CAPPINESS is a 10-minute walk from Ochiai Station and a 12-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station. If you are in Shinjuku or Shibuya, you can take the Yamanote Line to reach the nearest Takadanobaba Station in 5 minutes or 10 minutes, respectively.
If you are near Shinjuku, taking a taxi is also recommended as it is only a 5-10 minute ride.

Wonderful little spot with three adorable capybaras! It was an incredible experience feeding and patting them up close. We even got to get a cozy with them on the beds. The staff were also very friendly and informative. Overall great experience. Would recommend!

Such a fun experience to meet the Capybaras and play with them! They are so adorable, gentle, and friendly. Staff was very nice too and we had a great time overall. It ended too soon! I could play with them all day! Haha. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Tokyo!

I found this place on TikTok and it did not disappoint! The Capy’s are adorable. The staff is professional and kind - they took their time and explained everything well. They really did everything they could to help you have a great experience and get great pics while respecting the animals. They do require a reservation - so book before you arrive. It was very very worth it. A memory my kids won’t forget!

Reservation Policy
We only accept reservations through our official online booking system.
Reservations via direct messages (DMs), emails, or phone calls are not accepted.
If you are unable to complete your booking, please check your credit card details or try using a different credit card.
Cancellation and Change Policy
Cancellations, date or time changes, and changes to the number of guests are not allowed within 24 hours of the reservation.
A 100% charge will apply for cancellations or changes made within 24 hours, regardless of the reason.
Reservations and changes must be completed by the customer through our official booking system. Messages, emails, or phone calls are not accepted as valid cancellations or changes.
